Hogan Fun Run Lake Superior
Circle Tour July 15, 2009 - Jim Hogan passed away this morning. I'm sure he is now riding his own sidecar rig in Heaven. All I know so far is that the funeral will be Saturday the 18th at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Ely Minnesota. I'll post more information as I get it. Sheldon

2010 Lake Superior Circle Tour
There is a Wolf's Head Lake Superior Circle Tour in 2010 although we've decided that we will wait till 2011 or 2012 to bring back the Wolf's Head Rally. The 2010 Tour will start and end at the Spirit Mountain Country Inn, Proctor Minnesota, near the top of Spirit Mountain, which overlooks Duluth Minnesota and Lake Superior. If you plan on going please make your reservations early. The Jim Hogan Fun Run is still a go for June. Anyone needing a place to stay before the rally are welcome to camp at Jack's House. First Saturday in August, campout has been cancelled. Hopefully the economy will recover and at some future date the Rally will be revived and reinvigorated. Sheldon |

For Lake Superior Circle Tour Riders -- There have been some changes to the new 2008 passport requirements. Apparently they've relaxed the requirement because they were so overwhelmed with requests. For Canada and Mexico they've apparently come up with a new "U. S. Passport Card" that one can get for $20 or a Birth Certificate & Drivers License (Both). We haven't had time to digest it all but you can read about it at the U.S. Customs and the U.S. Department of State Web sites. Or The U.S. Passport Card Site. If you are planning on joining
us for the 2008 Lake Superior Circle Tour you MUST have either a
"Passport Card", valid U.S. Passport or a Birth
Certificate & Drivers License (Both). |

The Wolf's Head Lake Superior Circle
Tour is a
leisurely 1,500-mile cruise around Lake Superior, an event that gives
riders the chance to circle the largest fresh-water lake in the
world, see amazing vistas, wildlife they might never otherwise see
and make friends and memories they will keep for a lifetime. Wolf's Head Motorcycle Rally & Tour puts riding first and rallying a close second. The "Wolf's Head Lake Superior Circle Tour" runs five days, leaving the Country Inn & Suites at Spirit Mountain in Duluth/Proctor, MN on Monday and returning there on Friday. The tour runs counter-clockwise around Lake Superior and follows the shoreline through Wisconsin, Michigan, Ontario, and Minnesota, with overnight stops in Houghton and Munising, Michigan, and Wawa and Nipigon, Ontario. The pace this year is again relaxed to allow more time for sight seeing and the distance ridden on any day will not exceed 300 miles. |
