There Will be no Lake of the Woods Tour for 2008
2008, with our move back to Cloquet is a
rebuilding year. Hopefully we will be able to continue the
Lake of the Woods tour in future years.
A
pancake breakfast will be served in the rally headquarter building
starting at 6:00 am. (cost for
this breakfast is $6.00 per person, all you can eat pancakes)
On Sunday, registration starts at 6:30 am. There will be a bike
blessing at 7:30 am in front of the registration building. At 7:45 there
is a short riders meeting, the passports are handed out, and you are
free to leave.

Atikokan Information:

July 7th and
8th , 6:00 pm
Group Riding ClassThe class is for any and all who are
going on the lake tours and the woody tour. Curt Whiting from the
Motorcycle Safety Center will be the instructor. We need to stress
that even though this is not a large group ride and you are free to ride
in small groups, there will be times when you will have more than
two bikes together at one times. That means that you have to watch out
for more than one bike and you will find this course to be
of immense value.
We do suggest that no one rides individually, at least have
a riding partner. Some of the areas you will be traversing
are very, very remote. There is no cell phone service on
most of the route and it is important that you not ride alone. |
